Emblems Of Hope

DSC01889

I've been wanting to post the events and pictures from the past 2 weeks of my life, but I find myself unable to do so because I've been quite impacted by the work which I believe God has been working in me and through me for the weeks. On top of that, there were the messages spoken to the Church by Dr Brian Bailey. I can't exactly word them out because they were like pin balls bouncing off upon hitting targets after targets in the different areas of my life. Some were painful while others were uplifting. But eventually, I can see by faith in the love of God for me that they work out for good as God's word has promised.

Besides the messages on Heaven, Hell, and Healing from 3-5 June, the 2 services' sermons from the pulpit on Sunday prior to the 3-day meetings also got me thinking. I have written a little on what I took from 2nd service in my previous post, "Love Suffers Long And Is Kind".

Then I listened to the message CD from 1st Service. Dr Brian Bailey recounted a vision from God of Cornerstone represented by a bed of daffodils by a lake in heaven. It was interpreted to tell us that one of the virtues (characters) that God wants to implant in the heart and mind and spirit of Cornerstonites is that we are to be emblems (messengers) of hope.

Hope defined is a belief in a positive outcome related to events in our lives. Hope is produced through the experience we gain in tribulations and hope will ultimately take us within the veil into the Holy of holies. I want to embrace this totally.

Just awhile ago, sitting in my car, I was listening to what I've missed out in that 2nd Service and there were much more above what love is really about. Essentially Dr Bailey was preaching about loving righteousness and hating wickedness. We can't just love righteousness and compromise with wicknesses.

I'm still meditating on all these messages which I believe God will give me understanding as they become living word in my life. Of course some portions that allowed me to see more clearly the purpose of those events that I went through. It's so amazing that as I look back and recapture especially those that made me cry out to Abba Father, I'm beginning to trade those ashes for beauty, mourning for rejoicing, and exchange my spirit of heaviness for garment of praise.

May you, who read this post, look to Jesus and experience His divine exchange.

Isaiah 61:1-3
The Good News of Salvation
“The Spirit of the Lord GOD is upon Me, because the LORD has anointed Me to preach good tidings to the poor; He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to those who are bound; to proclaim the acceptable year of the LORD, and the day of vengeance of our God; to comfort all who mourn, to console those who mourn in Zion, to give them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; that they may be called trees of righteousness, the planting of the LORD, that He may be glorified.”
