Feasting Frenzy
For the past 3 days (19-21 May 09), I've been treated to 3 feasts a day at the VIP Reception on the virtue that I'm in the Graduation Ceremony Organising Committee. My role is mainly to coordinate performances during these 3 days at the end of the ceremony and in the VIP Reception.
The interior of the VIP Reception Room
Speaking of the VIP Reception area, this is the second year we're using this venue. Before this place was done up, it was an open rooftop area filled with patio umbrellas. Now is surrounded by full length glass panels, carpeted with built-in washrooms and kitchen.
So I managed to take a few pictures with some students I could get hold of among the crowds of graduates and their guests.
...with Woon Jiun
...with Kenneth
...with Royston
...with Hui Zhen
Managed to take more with some other graduates but not with my phone...
Anyway, the 3 days were filled with numerous trips to and from my office and the Temasek Convention Centre to ensure that all the performers were ready and on time for their performance slots. Both venues were incidentally situated on both ends of the campus.
But all these were incomparable to the stress during the preparation process. Even in between shows there were things that needed fixing - literally fire-fighting to ensure that whatever undesirable elements would not repeat in following sessions.
That's showbiz for you. For whatever it takes, the show must go on.
