Still Thankful
So I was waiting for my dinner date at T2's Fish & Co. yesterday, during which I was looking around at the interior decor when I gazed up and saw this gross-looking lamp hanging from the ceiling right above my table. I do appreciate the fact that the design's quite apt considering that it's a seafood joint. But somehow it gave me the goose bumps. Don't ask me why.
Well, other than that, the place was a bit noisy when the bar started blending some beverage...and irritating when the staff did their birthday thing for celebrating customers. 3 times for the duration I was there. It's like the Kuishin-Bo jingle, but done 'live'. Good food and great company made up for the downsides.
So me and TP Band went to Istana on Wednesday for their 45-min 'National Service'. Thank God the DV Camera I brought was supposedly unstable which led me call for a back-up. Know why? When the band started playing, I was told that when the President come by to watch the performance with the First Lady, I was to introduce myself and then sit next to him. -.-" It wouldn't be that appropriate to be holding up the camera then, would it? Hmmm... I wonder if I appeared in that evening's news... Hee...
I think we had fun. The company, the experience, just to be able to be a part of it. I'm sure they took a lot of pictures. I posted on my Facebook some pictures that Catherine, my colleague, took. We had a few formal ones taken with The President and the First Lady right in front of the President's Office building. I'm sure it's the standard photo-taking spot.
I just finished downloading the video. Due to the fact that it was not taken from the front, the sound was a bit further compromised with the outdoor sound. But at least the memories was captured. Much appreciated to Reuben, who was also there to help guard the instruments while we proceeded to the photo-taking venue cos the 'guards' assigned to us was nowhere to be seen.
And...THANK GOD...it didn't rain! Well, there was the tiniest drizzle before the transport came. After that it was just shady clouds and dry grounds, and everyone did their share of moving the instruments. No muds, no fuss. It was indeed a smooth-sailing day.
The wedding dinner was more enjoyable than I expected. I got there in good time, got a parking lot with just a short wait, sat at a table with people that I've always wanted to talked to. Again, good food, great company. What more can I ask. Needless to say, I had a truly blessed time.
Wow!!! Utterly grateful. I still am... :D
