Movie Buffet

I'm still not used to getting out of school on the dot. Just to illustrate my point. One evening I got to my flat and I observe that the void deck was in darkness. I was thinking, what happened to the evening lights? I thought there was a blackout or something. Was contemplating if I should call the town council when I met a neighbour from my block. So I just commented..."Wah, very dark hor? Blackout ar?" Only to realised that, it's not even 7pm, so the lights not supposed to be up for another 5 mins! Zzz...

Yesterday evening, I felt at a loss of what to do because I could get off on time and there was no cell meeting I drove out to TM around 6.30pm (Fridays supposed to go off at 5.30pm) cos I wanted to watch "Bolt". And what did I end up doing? Had a movie marathon. I bought tickets for "Twilight" and "Bolt". Had a voucher so one movie's free. The other's prepaid so the show's only $7.50 even on a Friday night. Then when I got out of "Bolt", I was still in time for "The Day The Earth Stood Still". So I went to watch that, too. The storyline's quite lame. I was just thinking about that as I was walking out of the theatre when somebody behind me commented the exact same thing.

"Twilight" was ok. But I was quite irritated by the girls next to me literally going ga-ga over Robert Pattinson when he first appeared on screen and when he said and do all those sweet things for his girl. But it's like all the lines between them are just the sweet ones from Stephenie Meyer's writings and nothing else...just to ga-ga the girls watching the show throughout the whole movie. I just felt that there seems to be not much links in between all those beautiful words to give more depth to the content. Maybe that's the objective of the movie. Maybe I should just go and read the book.

"Bolt", now that was probably the most enjoyable show for the night. Meaningful and the dog's cute. It deals with human issues through animals. The animation looks a bit pixar-ish though it's disney. But don't care...it's so well done. Ok, lah, well done enough to awe a layman like me. Think I'll get the DVD for the twins if they don't get to watch it. And I'll watch with them again.

So dinner was all the cheesy (literally) cinema food. By the way, if you tend to burp after drinking carbonated beverages, go easy on artificial bacon bits. Some things stay with you for a while after you eat it.

By the time I got to the car park, there were only 2 cars in the entire B3. So not difficult to find even when I had to get down there from the other end of the building. 1.55am. I noticed that was the time when I drove off.

And after a night of movie marathon, when I got home, opened the letterbox... and guess what? There were another 2 GV movie vouchers free from my Credit Card. I was like...dot, dot, dot. Ahaha...
