Croc-ed Pot!

Just got home about an hour ago from Marina Square? Yesterday I was at Esplanade. Guess what, tomorrow going Marina Square again. Haha...

Went to watch a locally produced movie - 18 Grams of Love - at Sinema Old School yesterday evening. No, no, no...should be 'night'. Cuz the show started at 8.45pm.

This is my 2nd trip up to Mount Sophia. The 1st time was in April when I also went on my own to watch another local production - Smell of Rain. That one was so-so only, despite the soul-stirring tagline - "No reliance (dependence), no expectation. No expectation, no grief." Well, that was then...

To my surprise, I actually enjoyed watching '18 Grams'. I didn't know that that session included a talk-back (a.k.a. Q & A) session with the Director, Producer and a staff from the Sinema. And for that I had to pay $10 when the actual movie ticket was $8. I didn't intend to go for that, apparently. But it didn't turn out so bad, thanks to a few of the audience who asked the questions.

I didn't have dinner when I went out so I was pretty hungry by the time I got out of the theatre around 11pm. Had craving for makansutra so I drove to Esplanade and bought some takeaways. Felt like I haven't been there for ages. There's a new stall there called 'Flava Lava'. Think it's western. I only realised it was there after I ordered my oyster omelette and hokkien prawn mee. Ever since I first ate there with Kenneth, my mind's like stuck with the idea that those 2 items are the must-have's when I eat there, even after a drop in the standard.

So anyway, I was standing there waiting for my food when I kept smelling this familiar fragrance (can't remember whether it's oregano or some herbs). I peeped over the stall next door and couldn't really make out what it is cos the stall name doesn't say much. But I saw this other familiar thing - soup pot. My brother uses the same pot for his mushroom soup at his pasta stall - Pasta Manna - at Old Airport Road Hawkers' Centre (I'm obviously trying to promote his stall, heehee...)

So that's how I ended up at Esplanade. Oh, and I took a few pictures of the Outdoor Theatre and of the Christmas (I think) decor on the way to Gluttons Bay.

This one's at the Taxi Stand on the way back to the carpark from MGB.

Then this evening, after prison visit, I drove down to Marina Square to collect some stuff from Muji which I ordered the last time I visited. Well, was supposed to collect them last weekend but was house bound cos I wasn't feeling well. Didn't even go to Church though I was on duty for both Saturday and Sunday Services. Sigh...anyway, so I went today. And as usual, couldn't resist getting something from there, too. End up spending $50+ without much effort. Before that I bought 3 CDs from Faithworks (bookshop in Church).

After Muji was Crocs. Wanted to get new slippers/sandals for a long time cos the 2 pairs I bought more than 3 years ago have been sole-less after daily wear for half a year. But I've started wearing them again cuz they were the most comfortable among the rest of my current footwear. Woohoo...I feel like dancing in my red crocs...haha! I also bought another pair of semi-formal design. Wonder how my feet would feel if I wore them to work for the whole day.

It was when I decided that I've walked enough that I realised I have yet had my dinner. Drank quite a bit during the 3+hour walk, guess that's why. Had toyed with the idea of doing Subway, though. I still couldn't make up my mind when I got to my car and started driving... So I made another turn around towards Esplanade and turned into the little lane where Subway is located and purchased a takeaway with the usual, and savoured it at home :) Happiness! It's open tomorrow...so I may go for it again! Ahaha!!

Tsk, tsk, tsk...spent so much today. Next week (till pay day) I'd have to lay low. Haha...but tomorrow still going Kbox! Well, I've made a PACT with my mom to come home for dinner so hopefully that'll help me save a bit. Hmmm...maybe I should eat lunch at home, too. Subway how? Aiyah! See my mood tomorrow. Khkhkhkhkhkhkhkhkhkh!!!
